In a major victory for Workers United, the National Labor Relations Board affirmed its preliminary finding of Workers United's right to represent employees yesterday, June 15, 2009, stating that "[UNITE] HERE's competing claim to represent the bargaining unit employees simply has no foundation." The precedent-setting Board decision potentially lays the groundwork for settling dozens of competing claims of representation between Workers United and Unite Here across the country. Perhaps, the end is near.
