- Established October 20, 1920, the Philadelphia Joint Board now represents over 9,000 members in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. From a union whose roots started with workers in men’s clothing plants, the Joint Board has grown to represent workers in school cafeterias, food service, hotels, laundries, distribution centers, manufacturing, and at the airport.
